Globant took home the Foundations for the Future Award presented at Nearshore Nexus on April 24th in recognition for the impact of their TesteAR program in Argentina.

TesteAR (www.testear.org.ar) is a 4-month IT training program that was launched in 2010. It focuses on training young individuals from vulnerable groups so that, at the end of the course, they can enter the labor market in the software industry specifically in the area application manual testing.

This was the second edition of the Foundations for the Future (F4F) Award, a joint collaboration between Nearshore Executive Alliance and Nearshore Americas to raise awareness around the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility programs in the Latin America outsourcing industry.

Steve Rudderham, Executive VP of Global Operations at First Advantage and board member of the NEA presented the award to Fausta Ballesteros, Director of Marketing and Communication of Globant US. During the ceremony Rudderham said that “The Nearshore Executive Alliance is proud to present this year’s Foundations for the Future Award to Globant to recognize the impact of the TesteAR program in the community. Skilled, trained workforce is a country’s main asset and TesteAR provides its beneficiaries a very comprehensive training that prepares them to enter the IT industry immediately upon conclusion. The commitment and effort put into the 4 month, 320 hour course over the last three years is remarkable. TesteAR supports the NEA’s mission and goals of expanding the pool of relevant and skilled talent in Latin America and consequently drive sustainable economic, social and human growth in the region.”
